Understand your listing statistics

What the views and clicks on your business or tool statistics page count, and what they leave out.

Updated 2 October 2026

Every business and tool listing has a statistics page: in Dashboard → Businesses or Dashboard → Tools, choose Stats next to the listing.

What is counted

  • Listing views: people who opened your listing.
  • Website clicks: visits to your website from the listing.
  • Email clicks (businesses): people who clicked your email address.
  • Profile link clicks (businesses): clicks on your social and profile links.

Numbers are shown for the last 30 days, compared with the 30 days before.

How counting works

To keep the numbers honest:

  • Each visitor is counted once a day for each kind of event, however many times they reload.
  • Search engine crawlers and other bots are not counted.
  • You, your team and SEOgenz staff are not counted, so checking your own listing does not inflate it.

To recognise a returning visitor without storing who they are, we use a one-way code made from the visitor's IP address, browser and the date. It is deleted after two days; only daily totals are kept. See the privacy policy for details.
