Google Analytics

Measure what visitors do on your site, including those from search

Google Analytics (GA4) measures how people use a website or app: where they come from, which pages they view, and the actions you define as important, which GA4 calls key events (for example enquiries, sign-ups or purchases). Measurement is event-based, so pages, clicks, scrolls and downloads are all recorded as events with parameters.

For SEO, the useful part is seeing what organic visitors do after they arrive: which landing pages lead to enquiries or sales, and which bring visits that go nowhere. A Search Console property can be linked to show search queries and landing pages alongside behaviour data. The standard version is free; Analytics 360 is a paid version for large organisations with higher limits and service agreements.
